Venator Lutjanus Purpureus - Snapper rod with 3,70m

Hi guys!

Here is another Snapper telescopic rod with 3,70m with two interchangeable tips.
Asian blank, Alps reel seat, minima guides from PacBay and thread from Prowrap and Sulky.
The grip is covered with silver synthetic leather.
Graphic have a silver and black background, a snapper silhouette and the name of the rod "Venator Lutjanus Purpureus IV".
I love the final result on this one.

Awesome as usual nuno , i found really interesting the use of Latin for the rod name ..

im ready to finish my salmon rod , i called it :Venator grandis salmonidis and i was doubtful about the use of : "venator"
your choice is a confirm that I'm not wrong

'Venator' is latin for hunter...'Piscator' is for fisherman, of course.

... Venator is surely more snappy

Anche io ho scelto venator perché suona meglio,  oltre al fatto che il soggetto era l'attrezzo di pesca e non il pescatore , per cui ho ritenuto si potesse giocare un po con le definizioni , quasi come se la canna fosse un entità a se stante dotata quasi  di capacità autonome .
avrei preferito cacciatrice ma suonava come homicida e non aveva un bel suono

About the name i have to say that was not my choice, was chosen by my client daughter.
Venator makes sense to the client because he is a fisherman and hunter and he use to be part of the Portuguese team of Olympic snipers.
But to tell you guys the truth i think that everything on a custom rod only have to make sense to the owner.
And now i know where to go when i want to put some latim name on a rod, you guys will translate for me  .
