Great news about Mhx blanks !!!

Nei giorni scorsi ho contattato diverse volte Mr. Vivian Todd di Mudhole riguardo ad un grezzo in due-pezzi che avevo in mente... stasera mi comunica la seguente news :

We have already decided to add these models to our lineup. I have a sample
from the factory and we will be adding the following models in 2 pc.

I plan to order these in the next couple of days and we should have them in

Hello all,
A little history about myself. My name is Todd Vivian. I am the VP of Sales at Mud Hole Custom Tackle in Oviedo, FL. USA. I have been in this position for 2 years, prior to this I was the operations manager at Lamiglas, Inc. in Woodland, WA. Part of my duties in the 20 years I spent with Lamiglas was rod and blank design. I have been building rods for over 25 years, I began while in college as a way to supplement my income and also because at that time I couldn't afford high quality factory rods.

As far as our new MHX line here at Mud Hole we decided 1 1/2 years ago to develop this series when we first learned that Gloomis was going to stop selling blanks at the end of 2009. We felt that with them gone from the industry it was going to leave a void for high quality, high performance rod blanks and we were going to fill that void. Being as the IMX line was the best option for a highly sensitive light weight blank we chose that series to develop. We started with 29 models that had been our best sellers and did tooling designs and chose material and resin systems then proceeded to get quotes from manufacturers to build these blanks for us. After several months of evaluating samples we chose the factory and then proceeded with the testing of the initial models. We tested the prototypes for about 6 months before receiving our initial orders of these blanks in August of 2009. For the testing process we did much of the testing in house but we also sent some of each model out to professional builders that had been using Loomis products for quite some time and had them build them up and have they're customers fish them. The reports we received back on each build was outstanding. All felt that these models were not only as good as the base models but were more sensitive and lighter in physical weight. Since that point in August we have begun developing additional models. We added 5 long crank bait models. Next week we will receive the first shipment of Flippin sticks, swimbait's, light inshore popping and some additional sj models. We have also been working on numerous 2 piece models which have come from the spin jig and mag bass lineups. We have just begun building the fly prototypes and are designing Steelhead/Salmon models and will also develop some spey models. Then we will address the Surf market sometime later in the spring or summer.
The materials used in these blanks are high intermediate modulus fibers with an advanced resin system. The Blend models are a mixture of High Intermediate modulus and Low intermediate modulus fibers which allow us to achieve some of the unique flex's necessary to run certain types of lures or plugs. These are actions the previously could only be achieved by the use of fiberglass.
